There is no standard timeframe for which the results of a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check are valid.

A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check is considered a ‘point in time’ check only. Therefore, the results only reflect police records on the date and time the result is released. No, a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check is not suitable for reuse for multiple purposes. For example a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check conducted for the purpose of becoming a volunteer in an aged care facility cannot be used later to apply for a teacher’s job in a school. This is because the purpose identified on the Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check application may be used to determine which information is disclosed in the Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check report.
